A New School for Jok Village
Building a rural school is challenging, particularly during the monsoon season. Jok is a remote village accessed by a new dirt road. Travelling from the ferry, it takes about 40 minutes to reach the village. Our project was to replace the old school in a new position. We planned to build a 5-room building complete with electricity and toilets. Our first challenge was to level the land as it sloped by 4 metres from top to bottom.
