Closure of LEOT Sewing School

LEOT is very proud of its work at the sewing school. LEOT has assisted many disadvantaged women in developing their skills to enable them to find work. In the early days, our relationship between DOES and the sewing school was strong. S

adly, that relationship over the last two years has deteriorated, and our manager, Noy, has lost the confidence of the vocational school behind us. LEOT valued the skills and commitment of Noy, but DOES did not agree and decided she must be replaced or the school would close. This left us in an impossible situation as we knew of no other skilled manager with English skills.

Our greatest sadness is that disadvantaged women have lost the opportunity to study unless a new sponsor can be found for the school. We are also sad that all our staff have lost their jobs. Our greatest wish is that the school can reopen shortly.
