LEOT’s programmes have supported thousands of students in developing practical skills and pursuing meaningful careers. While many students once aspired to teaching, evolving opportunities have led graduates into sectors such as hospitality, tourism, engineering, and public service — fields where language and technical skills are highly valued.

Xailee grew up in a low-income Hmong community near Luang Prabang. After excelling in his studies, he received a scholarship to attend university and later financial support from LEOT to complete his civil engineering training in Vientiane. Today, he works as an engineer building roads in southern Laos and supports his young family — a powerful example of education transforming opportunity.

Chansamai, the daughter of a gardener, also benefited from scholarship support to attend university. After graduating, she worked locally while teaching at LEOT and later secured international project scholarships. She went on to work as an environmental officer for a multinational company and now lives abroad with her family, demonstrating the long-term impact of access to education and opportunity.
